The Data Science Lab offers access to a number of learning resources for the Hertie School community. Students, faculty, researchers and administrative staff interested in improving their quantitative knowledge and skillsets can get access to any and all of the following services using the instructions below or by contacting

Github Student Developer Pack

As a GitHub Education Partner, the Hertie School can provide you with the GitHub Student Developer Pack, an offering of digital tools and services worth over $200k for your learning and self-development in software engineering and data science. Resources range from premium subscription to online training courses to professional accounts for popular coding tools, free website hosting and cloud computing. In order to access the Developer Pack, you need to use your institutional Hertie email address to sign up on Github and connect it to your acccount with the link below. 


Dataquest Premium Access

Dataquest is a self-learning platform that offers interactive coding challenges and projects to learn essential data science skillsets. Four distinct paths can be chosen with different learning materials: Data Analyst in R, Data Analyst in Python, Data Scientist in Python, or Data Engineer. By completing the learning paths, students will receive certificates and create projects that can be added to their data science portfolio as a demonstration of their skills to potential employers. Coursera for Campus

Coursera is a global online learning platform that offers online courses and degrees from different universities and institutions from around the world. As part of the Coursera for Campus programme, the Hertie School can provide each student with full access to one course per year on the site, with free certificate after completion (a small number of courses, however, does not offer a certificate). AWS Educate

AWS Educate is Amazon's global initiative to provide students comprehensive resources for building skills in the cloud. Its curriculum offers access to content, training, pathways, AWS services, and the AWS Educate Job Board with employment opportunities. To get access to the service, please use your Hertie institutional email to sign up in the link below.
